    Abstract:

Aim To investigate the relationship between the polymorphism of apolipoprotein A5 gene 56C→G and the levels of serum lipids and lipoproteins. Methods 486 subjects were collected to determine the genotypes by using polymerase reaction-restriction fragments length polymorphisms (PCR-RFLP). Results There is only one carrier with minor allele of 56C→G, in another word, only one heterozygous was found in the group (n=468). Conclusion The relationship between the site of apolipoprotein A5 gene 56C→G and the levels of serum lipids and lipoproteins can not be established.
