    Abstract:

Aim To investigate angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ) influence extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer(EMMPRIN) expression in aortic atherosclerotic plaques in apolipoprotein E knock-out mice. Methods ApoE-/-mice were fed with a western diet for atherosclerosis model, interfered with AngⅡ.EMMPRIN gene and its protein were measured by RT-PCR,Western blotting and immunohistochemisty. Results EMMRPIN positive expression significantly increased in Ang Ⅱ intervention group compared with the control group in atherosclerotic plaque,EMMRPIN gene and protein expression significantly increased in Ang Ⅱ intervention group compared with the control group in atherosclerotic plaque. Conclusion Angiotensin Ⅱ can induce EMMPRIN expression in aortic atherosclerotic plaque.
