    Abstract:

Aim To explore the clinical factors about orthostatic hypotension in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods Blood pressure of resting and standing within 10 minutes were taken per minute in 168 patients with type 2 diabetes. Results Comparing with the non-orthostatic hypotension group, the orthostatic hypotension group was older. The supine systolic blood pressure, the level of GHbA1C and the rate of hypertension was higher.Logistic regression analysis indicated that the incidence of orthostatic hypotension are associated with age, supine systolic blood pressure,GHbA1C levels and hypertension. Conclusion The blood pressure and glycemic control in hypertensive patients with type 2 diabetes should be managed reasonably so as to reduce the incidence of orthostatic hypotension.
