    Abstract:

Aim To observe the effect of edaravone on serum NO,NOS and SOD in patients with cerebral infarction. Methods 160 cases with cerebral infarction were randomly divided into edaravone treatment group(treatment group) and conventional treatment group(control group),80 cases in each group.NO,NOS,MDA and SOD were measured before and after treatment for 7 d and 14 d. Results Control group's NO,NOS and MDA had no obvious change before and after treatment. The results after treated for 7 d were lower than before treatment, but higher than after treated for 14 d.Treatment group's NO,NOS and MDA were lower than control group's(P><0.05).Treatment group's SOD was gradually increased and obviously higher than control group's(P><0.05). Conclusion Edaravone has certain protective effect on cerebral infarction patients by decreasing their serum NO,NOS and MDA and increasing SOD activity.
