    Abstract:

Aim To investigate the clinical significance of the serum ferritin, plasma homcystein and oxidized low density lipoprotein(ox-LDL) levels in patients with coronary heart diseases. Methods 124 cases were divided into coronary heart disease group(n=64) and control group(n=60) according to the result of coronary angiographic examination. The concentration of the serum ferritin, plasma homcystein, oxidized low density lipoprotein levels and plasma lipids were measured. Results The levels of the serum ferritin, plasma homcystein, oxidized low density lipoprotein levels were significantly higher in patients with CHD than that in control group(P<0.05).In addition, the levels of the serum ferritin, plasma homcystein, oxidized low density lipoprotein levels were positively correlated to the degree of coronary stenosis(P<0.05). Conclusion The levels of the serum ferritin, plasma homcystein, oxidized low density lipoprotein levels are closely correlated with the coronary atherosclerosis and its severity, synchronous determination of the three blood parameters may have some clinical importance in evaluating the severity of coronary artery stenosis.
