Abstract:

It has long been recognized that depression is a risk factor for the development of type 2 diabetes which increased the risk of type 2 diabetes.Recent results suggest that not only depression but also other emotional stress plays an important role in the development of type 2 diabetes.The present review provides an overview of research status of associations between different forms of emotional stress and the development of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
