Percutaneous coronary intervention has revolutionized coronary revasculari- zation therapy, restenosis is a major challenge and has been described as the Achilles heel of the procedure. The drug-eluting balloon (DEB) represents an excellent therapeutic concept, its efficacy and safety in the treatment of stent restenosis has been confirmed.However, this technique carries a number of unanswered questions and is being further evaluated in different clinical settings.
