    Abstract:

Apelin/APJ system, a new G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) system, is wide distributed in human and animal tissues. Apelin/APJ system could affect many mammalian biological characteristics, including the neuroendocrine system, cardiovascular system and so on. Angiogenesis is described as the sprouting of new capillaries from existing microvessels. Its process is dependent on the proliferation, migration, and capillary-like tube formation of vascular endothelial cells, which plays a critical role in physiological and pathological conditions. Here, we reviewed the function of Apelin in the angiogenesis.
