    Abstract:

Daintain/AIF-1 is an inflammatory polypeptide factor/allograft inflammatory factor 1 derived from macrophages, which can activate macrophages, promote the proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells. Lately, extensive progress has been made in the understanding of mechanisms of atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease (CHD). Daintain/AIF-1 plays an important role in the process of occurrence and development of atherosclerosis and possibly allows early prognostic assessment of atherosclerosis to therapy.
