    Abstract:

Atherosclerosis (As) is an important pathogenesis of cardio-cerebrovascular disease, and can affect the whole body blood vessels. Its pathogenesis is not yet fully elucidated.DNA methylation and micro RNA (miRNA) are important parts of the epigenetic, and everyone plays an important role in the As.At present the abnormal expression of a variety of miRNA has been found, which may be adjusted by methylation in the As.DNA methylation can directly regulate the expression of miRNA by changing the methylation modification of miRNA’s promoter CpG island. Also,DNA methylation can indirectly adjust with related miRNA’s expression by altering the methylation status of transcription factors.
