    Abstract:

Insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF-1)is an important cytokine whose structure and function are significantly similar to insulin. It has been shown to exist in most tissues and belongs to the insulin family. It plays an important physiological function by binding to its own specific receptor. With the deepening of research on the relationship between IGF-1 and cardiovascular diseases, IGF-1 has been found to promote myocardial growth, enhance myocardial contractility, and inhibit apoptosis, which are closely related to the development of heart failure(HF).
