    Abstract:

Metastasis associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1) belongs to the lncRNA family, which is approximately 8 778 bp in length. With the rapid development of high-throughput sequencing, microarray chips and other scientific technologies, MALAT1 is increasingly researched in the cardiovascular field. At present, MALAT1 has been involved in research and development of congenital heart disease, coronary heart disease, myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury, and diabetic cardiomyopathy. As a biomarker, MALAT1 may play an important role in the early diagnosis, timely treatment and long-term prognosis of cardiovascular diseases. However, the mechanism of cardiovascular diseases remains to be further studied.
