    Abstract:

Sestrin 2 is a highly conserved stress-induced metabolic protein, which has the effects of antioxidation and improving the level of autophagy. It protects cells against various harmful stimuli, including genotoxicity, oxidative stress, endoplasmic reticulum stress and hypoxia. Sestrin 2 plays an important role in the occurrence and development of glycolipid metabolism related diseases by regulating the level of oxidative stress and autophagy, and is expected to become a new target for the diagnosis and treatment of glycolipid metabolism related diseases. Here, this article reviews the relationship between sestrin 2 and glycolipid metabolism related diseases.
