Abstract:Compared with giving native low density lipoprotein(LDL) intravenously,scavenger receptor(SR)mRNA levels in liver and spleen of the mice given mildly modified LDL(mm-LDL)intravenously increased 2. 0 times (p<0. 05)and 5.9 times(p<0. 01),respectively;and macrophage colony-stimulating factor(MCSF)mRNA levels also increased 3.2 times(p<0. 01) and 3. 0 times p<0. 01) respectively.Giving MCSF intravenously to mice increased SR mRNA levels in liver and spleen by 3. 6 times(p<0. 05) and 3. 0 times (p<0.01),respectively, and showed some dose-effect relationship.It suggests that giving mm-LDL intravenously might directly induce the expression of SR mRNA in liver and spleen,orindirectly stimulate the expression of MCSF,which in turm induces SR mRNA expression,The significance of these phenomena for local atherogenesis is discussed.

Abstract:The distribution of low density lipoprotein(LDL)receptors in various tissues of rabbit was studied using indirect immunofluorescence staining with monoclonal anti-rabbit LDL receptor antibodies prepared in our laboratory.The results showed that there was specific fluorescence in liver,adrenal cortex,ovary,intestine,bronchus and skin,but in liver and adrenal cortex,the specific fluorescence of the cells was brighter than that in all other tissues.In heart muscle,skeletal muscle and adrenal medulla the fluorescence of the cells was vary faint,especially in brain parenchyma.It suggest that there may be an interrelationship between the LDL receptor activity and the physiological function and metabolism of the tissues.

Abstract:Human washed platelets and cultured confluent human umbilical vein endothelial cells were incubated with 764-3 which is exracted from Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge(SM) in China, at concentrations of 12.5,25,50,100,125,250 and 500 mg.L-1.It was found that 764-3 inhibit the espression of α-granular membrane protein 140 and platelet membrane glucoprotein Ⅱb/Ⅲa complex on platelet surface,and it increased the expression and activity of thrombomodulin on the surface of the endothelial cells. Our data provided new evidences for the antithrombotic effect of 764-3.
Abstract:Model of the femoral arterial thrombosis was produced in all 20 rabbits by feeding high cholesterol,manipulating with machanical and electrical damage.Urokinase was then given and reocclusion will be observed subsequently,2 h after recanalization,50% of arteries were reoccluded assessed by angiography. Intimal injury,adhered thrombus containing platelet riched mixed cells were confirmed by pathological examination.During the process of thrombosis and reocclusion, platelet aggregetion rate content of plasma thromboxane A2 and activity of plasminogen activator inhibitor weremarkably increased. Whereas the level of prostacyclin and activity of plasminogen activator significantly decreased.Conclusion:rate of thrombus formation is high the ingradient of thrombus and the rate of reocclusion are closed to human coronary disease.The endothelial injury and activation of platelet being the basis of changs of vessel active substance corspond to the characteristic of formation of coronary thrombosis and reocclusion after thrombolysis.Since the method of preparation is easy and feasible,it wiil be a valuable model for studing some new drug in preniting the reocclusion after thromblysis.

Abstract:Using the oxidative modification of low density lipoprotein(LDL) as a model and the contents of thiobabituric acid reactive substences,vitaminle E and fluorscent substances,the inhibitory effects of Shengmaisan on oxidative madification of LDL induced by Cu2+ and Fe2+ were studied.The results showed that Shengmaisan inhibited the oxidative modification of LDL significantly,and the extents of inbibition of oxidative modification of LDL induced by Cu2+ and Fe2+ were similar.The protective effect of Shengmaisan is mainly to scavenge lipid free radical.

Abstract:We reported the effects of gypenosides (GPS) on serum levels of nitric oxide(NO),lipid peroxidation(LPO)and superoxide dismudase(SOD)in atherosclerotic rabbit induced by high cholesterol diet.The results showed that GPS 60 mg·d-1 fed in company with 1% cholesterol for 8 weeks and GPS 120 mg·d-1 orally administrated for 4 weeks after development of aortic lesion could significantly protect the activity of NO and SOD,decrease the LPO content as well as lower the serum levels of total cholesterol and triglyceride.

Abstract:On the basis of observation that nitrendipine has a role of anti-atherosclerosis,the effects of nitrendipine on experimental atherosclerosis of rabbits was studied. Results showed that nitrendipine had little effect on diet-induced hyperlipidemia,but it might inhibit the formation of aorta lesions and reduce the concentrations of cholesterol in aorta wall significantly,which suggest that nitrendipine has a significant function of anti-atherosclerosis.

Abstract:Proteoglycan analysis and morphometric study on the sudanophilic lesion of the aortas anatomizing in 24 hours) have been performed in 36young adults who died unexpected in fishing zone. The results were compared with that of Nanning and Peijing.The result shows that:(1)The total proteoglycan:2 113±584;heparan sulfate-proteoglycan: 81±127(23.1%);chondroitin sulfate-proteoglycan: 1 004±386(46.7%);Dermatan sulfate-chondroitin sulfate-proteoglycan:628±195 (30.2%).(2) The sudanophilic lesion of the aortic intima were obviously lighter than Nanning's and Peijing's.

Abstract:70 cases of oxygen free radical of seperated polymorphonuclear leukocyte(PMNL) of peripheral whole whool changes were detected in this study. Study objects including 20 cases of normal take-no-medicine control group,21 cases of coronary heart disease (CHD) patients(subdivided into 8 cases take Captopril,6 cases take Enalapril and 7 cases take-no medicine) and 29 cases of hypertensive heart disease(HHD) patients(subdivided into 12 cases take Captopril, 6 cases take Enalapril and 11 cases take-no medicine).The results showed that after taking Captopril and Enalapril,the PMNL chemiluminescence CL) peak value and intergral in CHD and HHD patients were significantly lower than that in patients take-no-medicine group;PMNL-CL parameters in CHD patients take Captopril and Enalapril, HHD patients take Captopril and Enalapril had no significant difference than that in normal control group; the PMNL-CL parameters in CHD patients take Captopril and Enalapril,HHD patients take Capropril and Enalapril had no significant difference.
Abstract:5 g oral glucose tolerant test and insulin releasing test were performed in 33 patients with type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus.Glycosylated insulin(GI)was determinated with nitroblue tetrazolium(NBT)colorreaction using anti-insulin antibody for precipitation of serum insulin.GI level was increased significantly in diabetics and correlated positive with fasting blood glucose concentration, negative with the ratio of fasting serum insulin/glucose concentration and the ratio of the area under the insulin curve over the area under the glucose curve. The results indicate that GI level depends on the condition of the blood glucose control and is involved in the development of insulin resistance.
